Anyone have one of those front sight base jigs that comp911 made to help in the installation of a fsb.
I am fixing to try to install my fsb that takes taper pins and if possible will you let me borrow it and I will make sure you get it back, thanks Semper Fi USMC |
| I found that you can tap the hole on the bottom inside the sling swivel tabs and install a set screw. Take the rifle to the range and shoot it, then make your fine adjustment on the shooting bench. When you are satisfied take it home and dill the front pin first and install it. Remove the set screw and drill the rear pin. You can also make a witness mark on the FSB and the barrel so you know it didn't move when you are setting it up in the drill press. Also make sure that your hand guard cap is in place when doing the test fire and installing the front pin. You can disassemble and remove the cap to do the rear pin. I use an 8-36 tap and set screw. |
