Right now I have a phantom flash hider on my ar and the thing is uncontrollable when shooting rapid bursts. I see all the pros shoot and there ar has zero movement. What muzzle device would you recond for recoil and muzzle rise. Don't care about noise level or flash.

Surefire MB556k
Battlecomp -
BCM Comp
Dynacomp
PWS SM556
AAC 51T Muzzle Brake

There are a lot of choices...If you want the best at muzzle control I'd go with the Surefire but beware because it's also probably the loudest with the most flash.

Also if you plan on running a can at some point take that into consideration when picking a muzzle device.

You sure it's the muzzle, or the shooter? Not trying to be a dick, but most times its the shooter, with stance, chicken-winging, gripping the rifle too tight and swaying with it due to that, or anticipating recoil versus actual recoil.

if you dont care about noise and want a bad ass comp for a resonable amount of cash its hard to beat the AAC brake, I have one on my Stealth and it works well.

Nothing to add here except to look at the SJC Lund comp.  Also factor In that most comp shooters are running heavier guns with rifle length gas systems.

+1.  comps help, but not as much as the shooter.  if you arent able to control your gun as is, you might want to look at your technique a little bit.

BTW op, what exactly do you mean by "the pros"?  the 3 gunners?  if so those guys have rifles very different than your average AR.  they are running relatively heavy medcon 18" barrels with rifle length gas ports, low mass bcgs, etc...

I have a Surefire MB556K brake on my gun and I love it. Rifle stays very flat. Recoil control is a part of practice though. Not that I am a professional or anything.

I use a B.E. Meyers 249F, and when firing my 14.5" carbine gas barrel my AR pushes straight back. Even if muzzle flash is not a factor in your decision, it's almost completely non-existent in the pitch black of night.

Any thoughts on the Griffin Flash Comp?

sjc titan compensator in the gamers worls is considered one of the best in a real close race of comps.

for an inexpensive option the Miculek comp is a good choice... if you thread the entire boss, you can continue through the rear wiper with the minimum diameter drill bit and then thread the boss 1/2 x 28, then clock with shims or sparkplug washer...to me, the option offers less scope shake than the Surefire 556... I have an Enidine rifle buffer in my 16" mid ...apology on pic quality

I have a Battle Comp and really like it.  It helps.  However, training will do much more for you than any muzzle device.  Someone who is a better shooter than me would do better with an A2 flash hider than I do with my Battle Comp.  Practice more and you'll have more control over your rifle.

I run a dynacomp. It's a noticeable difference from the a2 cage that came on my rifle. However as others have said, it does not take away the recoil entirely. I will be switching to an aac to accommodate a suppressor. Keep that in mind when making your choice.

I would suggest the SureFire MB556.  It produces a pretty significant concussion out to each side but it does an extremely good job of reducing recoil.  A lot of the control issues have to do with your stance and fundamentals to be honest though.  The biggest mistake you can make is to think that your equipment is going to significantly improve your shooting.  There is no reason you shouldn't be able to control your weapon with a standard flash hider as the muzzle device.  Take a class or two and after some proper instruction and practice, I think you will find that ARs are rather easy to control.  People using comps at classes piss me off to be quite honest.  My hearing sucks enough as it is so i don't want to have to be using both plugs and muffs bc some guy wants to shave 0.02sec off his time .  Had to say it.... sorry haha.
