Anyone know much about the B.E.A.R system ? The free floating piston system looks interesting.

Thanks for input.

Stay away, the torque placed on the op rod tends to break the screws on top of the bolt carrier.  There are much better piston AR designs if that is what you have your heart set on.

The torque really only has the effect on the 10.5" barrel lengths but if you did your homework you would know that for the last year there are no screws mounting the key/ opp rod! They have been machine out of one price billet.

They use an aluminum BCG?  Looks like I'm not the one that needs to do homework.  Did they ever fix the problem of the regulators flying out of the gun?  Like I said poorly designed piston AR.  No amount of manufacturer hype can convince me otherwise, as I have seen the problems firsthand.

Billet meaning machined from bar stock. One solid piece. It's a one piece carrier group! Made from 8620 Steel. Not aluminum.

Excuse him. He hears Billet and automatically assumes it is Aluminum. He doesn't know what Billet really means because he has no clue what he's talking about.

After reading posts I am going to step back and build out a standard piston type AR... This BEAR seems like a headache waiting to happen.

Thanks for the input.
