| I have a 12" upper that has recently started acting up. When I run suppressed, the last round in the magazine sometimes causes the charging handle to break loose. Everything else functions as normal - bolt hold open, etc. It is a Mega machine forged upper and a PRI charging handle. It doesn't have a very high round count - so I don't believe the components themselves are warn. I'm thinking perhaps the charging latch spring needs to be replaced? Has anyone seen thus before? Thanks. |

I use a couple of PRI Gas Buster CH's on a couple of SBR's that are primarily run suppressed and with close to 20K rounds total, I've never had on fail yet. Are you saying that the acutal latch spring isn't holding tension anymore?
ETA: How does the channel where the latch locks into the upper look? Is it deep enough to hold the CH in place? What about the hook on the CH, maybe it's not getting enough bite on the upper. |
