[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Old school upper

Bought this from a buddy pretty cheap, anyone have an idea of the age or other specific info on it? he told me the barrel is a 1/7 twist but Ive also heard these are 1/12. No markings anywhere on it. Now I just need to grab a BCG and charging handle and take it out and see how it shoots.

Probably not 1/12 with that Hbar under the handguards. $1 says its 1/9
