Hello everyone I am new here and I have a question. Has anyone heard anything in reference to the Diamondback DB-15 carbine. I just bought one because my local gunshop employee told me that Ruger purchased the Diamondback Fireamrs company. I have not been able to find any information to support that statement and I have already purchased the carbine. I dont have any issues with it but I've seen a lot of negative comments in reference to Diamondback products. Can anyone help an AR noob like myself out?

What were the negative comments?  So far, what I have been reading they are in the middle of the road.  At least they are not in the same class as Vulcan/Hesse/Blackthorne.

Btw, Taurus has a stake in Diamondback Firearms not Ruger.

Sometimes, it is better to double check the info coming from the guy behind the counter.

Actually held an all FDE one. Finish was nice and the gun seemed solid. Haven't shot one but the one I held was 300blk with SS barrel quad rail for 950+tax

I don't know about their rifles but their handguns are POS.

I owned a 380 that was sent back to the factory twice for a broken
trigger bar. They are sweet looking lil pistols but apparently their internals are crap.

Check out diamondbacktalk forum and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Diamonback has had a tough history and that's why they have been bought out.

I owned two of their pistols, DB380 and DB9.  Both were unreliable garbage.  Jason, who was their old marketing guy, was an excellent representative of the company.  He left, unsure why, but likely due to unable to handle the angry customers with problems is my assumption.  I dealt with "Pete," the gun smith, who was an asshole over the phone and refused to warranty the DB9 after 5 types of ammo, multiple shooters, and constant FTF.  I understand guns are going to have problems when new, but the attitude of the gun smith over the phone made me unload it for a $150 loss just to get rid of it.  There's more to this story, and it'll just make you hate them more.

I hope Diamondback goes out of business.  They are absolutely terrible.  I don't care if it's just an AR lower, I don't do business with shitty people.

Evidently the announcement was in January 2013.

This is an interesting thread as I too just bought one from a local shop yesterday.

I've been looking for a new AR and spotted this one on the shelf. They had several brands to choose from but this one fit together the best. The finish was flawless and it cycled beautifully. The barrel appears to be a standard 16" M4 design free floated all the way. I really like how the hand-guard felt and the accessory rails are at the far end. The trigger group along with the bolt carrier group look pretty much standard but all in all it looks like a very well made AR....

I'll tear it all down when I get it home and perform a forensic analysis to see for sure.
