I have a 20 inch Stainless M110 barrel that I'd like to have fluted.
I know ADCO, does it. But I don't like the looks of just 6 cuts with a Ball End Mill. I like the ones that come out more like a V, at the end of the cut. Obviously done with a horizontal mill. Or a vertical mill with a special cutter. Sucks I don't work anymore, I have the correct cutters.
Anyone out there know a company that does that.
It's .875 at the gas block, so it's not a light weight barrel.
Kind of strange for me to be asking a question it's usually me answering.

Hey, do you know of Marvin @ nefariousarms?- he is the /or a machinist for Knights barrels. If you know he does not do what you need then that's all I can do for you- good luck

I had Compass Lake engineering cut 12 flutes in a stainless Douglas Match barrel for my SDM-R:

They do great work!

That looks like a nice HBAR, why not continue the flutes out from under the handguards?

Read an article recently where some barrel maker did testing and discovered that the fluting heats up unevenly.  They no longer recommend it.

This picture never gets old.
It's time to get out the dremmel.

I had it done to the same configuration as the Army's Squad Designated Marksman rifle, which is fluted under the rails.

Have a link for that? Krieger fluted my 24" .308 stainless barrel when I had them make me a barrel. Threaded and indexed for the big JP brake.
Don't ask how much it cost me
Oh, and the wait, almost 9 months, and that was a year before the panic. But it is sweet. Built on a MEGA-10 receiver set.

I never get over that pic either. I was a Tool & Die Maker for 30 years. Something like that just cracks me up.
If I had a mill, I'd do it myself.
