Anyone have any idea how to take the hand guard system off on these Colt crx rifles without marking the crap out of them????
What kind of wrench do they use??? Pic for reference...

It looks like the nut on the rear(next to the receiver) screws back and relieves tension on the hand guard. Youll need a proper wrench for it. There may be an anti rotation screw on the bottom like the MI SS rails. Have any idea what the proper wrench is??? |

Wouldn't a rubber banded jar-opener/oil filter wrench work? Like 2 bucks at the dollar store, brah. Sometimes. If it's properly torqued, probably not. No - they don't grip well enough on those lock rings - but they do work well for unscrewing the tube itself if someone used Loctite.
