What kind of case/ bag do you guys use to hold your AR? Hard/ Soft? Do you disassemble rifle/scope or leave it in tact?
I was thinking of the Midway Rifle Case. Cheap, Soft, 3 different sizes. For the most part, Id only be going to the range and back home. |

I recently bought a blackhawk single rifle bag hoping to recieve a quality product made in america, I was disapointed to find out it was made in Vietnam. It seems solid and well made so far but meh.... I wanted american made. Befor that I'd bought 2 safariland 2 rifle bags, both the 36" and 42" varities. Disapointed in the quality of both, stitching in the zippers has started to come undone and they are made in china.
Of the lot I'd recomend the Blackhawk were it not foreign made... |

First are you looking for storage, hard case and air travel travel to the range soft case There are even some hiking type bags that allow you to carry the weapon concealed// kind of the barrel sticks out of the bottom, and implement it into action quick quick, could also work as a range bag I don't use a case, to go to the range, just a tac vest and rifle maybe a camelback if muncho hot out
I have a medium camelbak, I could ditch the vest and really stuff the bag for water mags, oil Wheat ever you need, someone's made it. These men will help you out |

The Midway bags are good to go -- if of course you mean the Pro Series Tactical Rifle Case. Great quality for the price. Their cheaper bag is just that......cheap. Mine just flops all over the place and offers no more protection than a plastic shopping bag.
I still have nicer bags (just got a Larue MKII bag that is awesome) but for what you say its use is going to be (to and from the range) a midway bag is going to work just fine. This part is important: Get at least the 43" bag. A 16" AR fits like a glove in the 43" so if you get the 35", it will never fit. Even my 14.5" wouldn't fit in the 35". |
