I posted another thread about a dissipator style AR build I did that I want to get a bayonet for. The problem is my M9 handle is too long by about 3". Someone mentioned getting a short handled bayonet, so I started looking around and I don't think there is such a thing. The only thing I found was a picture of a modified M7 on a 10.3" barrel supposedly done by CMMG. I just got off the phone with them and no one there can verify that they ever offered a short handled bayonet -- they know they never made one for sure. So, any one out there have a lead on a short handled bayonet for SBRs and Dissipators?

Thank you.

If you don't mind the M9 getting cut, take it to a qualified welder, have them cut it down and re-weld (all in the tang area)
to  the correct, short length. You may have to get creative with the handle to make it look right but with some time, sandpaper
and possibly some epoxy and files, someone with a bit of talent could make it look pretty darn good.

I'm interested as well... I've been keeping an eye out for one that would fit my 14.5" mid-length

I really want a M7 style bayonet blade but much longer....say 12-14" blade!!

I don't mind cutting one down. I measured it out and the bayonet could still fit in my GF's hand, so she could still use it as a utility/hunting knife (I could too if I needed too). I guess I will try to search for someone who can weld with a bit of skill.

The main problem is the grip, on my custom bayonet I did I wrapped it with FDE Para Cord.
