Carbine length is just plain goofy. If you start with that, everyone with think of you as the goofy company that put a skinny bipod inside a fat quad rail. The minute I saw your site, I thought about the HK G3 with integrated bi-pod. I think the idea is very cool but of all the variations on which to place that design, carbine length would be my very last choice. A product like that would make sense on 10" + free float rail.

The SI-RIP design has its advantages over a standard quad rail forend. For example the SI-RIP gives the shooter the use of the bottom rail for mounted accessories while having an internal bipod to use as needed. This is the single advantage that I can see, for the guy that wants a bipod and some accessory on the bottom, I suppose. At 1.6 pounds I would like the ability to shed the bipod, if I wanted. This product does not apply to my needs, but I wish you luck. For the guy that only has one stock carbine, and needs a bipod, you may have what he needs. I just don't know why that guy wouldn't buy a cheap drop in, and a detach bipod that he could remove. Only trying to point out obstacles tp selling more of them. If there are more positives that apply to "that guy" you should point them out in your advertisement. The above posts about free float and longer handguards are the best recommendations, obviously. Best of luck with your venture
