Ar15 case > AR Discussions

I need to get my brother a case for his ar for his birthday. I went to order an Eagle like I have and it seems they either don't make them or everybody is sold out. Can anybody recommend a case that is the same quality or better than an eagle?

Do it right the first time. Go with a Pelican. I did the softbag thing. You'll hate it sooner or later.

What kind of case are you looking for? Hard, soft, discreet, single, double, color?

I have a Pelican 1750 that i cut the foam out to match my rifle, some mags and a couple pistols. Never used it other than storing the rifle, which i hear you aren't supposed to do anyway. Then I changed the configuration of my rifle, which rendered the case useless. I'm looking at getting a soft case to hold the rifle and accessories that will fit inside the Pelican for the best of both worlds. Might be something to look into, because the Pelican is awesome especially if you ever fly.

Thanks for the ideas. Pelican is way too big for what we do.

I am looking for a soft case that is nice and will hold up. I want the one that has the mag pouches on the side and is tapered going from back to front. I have used a eagle for a while and it has been good but everybody seems to be out of them. I will check Natchez

I need that LaRue bag or 3. Those are sweet

I bought 2 of those VooDoo Tactical double bags because they were dirt cheap, and was given a Blackhawk as a Christmas present, but I know the clock is ticking on those cheap ass zippers

I've had one of these midway cases for about 4 yrs: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/939141733/midwayusa-pro-series-tactical-rifle-case

I imagine the construction is similar to the tapered one. I have a 16" mid-length in a 43" case. I could probably have fit it in a 35" case.

I'm happy with it and would buy another one of their soft cases.
