I've always used mil-spec and polished mil-spec triggers but I'm considering stepping up.  In the past I've heard of problems with notched hammers and light strikes giving ftf problems.  Are there any I should stay away from since I like to be able to shoot any ammo that I run across?

It's for my general purpose, competition, SHTF, carbine.

The RRA NM is a pretty good trigger. Yeah, there are better and more expensive options out there but I have yet to have an issue with one. I have them on all my rifles.

I have tried several.  The Geissele is the best.

Geissele SD-E (or SSA-E if you want the regular curved trigger).  I've tried about all of them, and that's my favorite.   The SSA is nice, but doesn't hold a candle to the SD-E.

For a HD/SHTF gun, I'd use a SSA or SD-C, but SD-E for everything else.

Also OP the SSA and SDC Geissele's are pretty much the same with different trigger faces with one being flat and the other curved.

notorious for failing, have a rather low life expectancy (3k rounds?)

If you're going to pay $130 for a trigger, spend $50 more and pickup the geissele
