Bought a Troy 11" bravo battle rail to swap out w my Troy trx vtac 9" rail, got the bravo rail home and figured it would be 2 min swap out but the bravo rail won't rotate counter clockwise to lock into and align w the upper rail. Did I just get one that wasn't cut correctly? Or am I doing something wrong? Both rails are supposed to work w regular barrel nut. I'm confused thanks for the help.

Nevermind I do need a standard barrel nut thanks

The Troy TRX VTAC does not work with the regular barrel nut. So if you took that off to put on the Bravo, you have the wrong barrel nut right now and need to get a factory one.

Sorry I have Troy battle rail alpha 9" on currently, when I put the alpha on I used the standard barrel nut that came on my bushmaster, for some reason the box it came in says trx

Do you have three large bolts at the 3, 6, and 9 positions where the rail interfaces with the barrel nut? Or do you have two tabs on the bottom held together with two small screws? The first would be the Alpha, the second the TRX. I'm betting if you have a TRX wrench, a TRX box, and your new rail doesn't fit, you have a TRX barrel nut.
