I'd suggest keeping an eye on the EE, maybe even post a WTB ad, with what you're looking for and what your willing to pay. GL

Everyone is out. I would place your order with Tactical Machining and be patient.

does anyone have any links that deal specifically with the legalities of completing an 80%

perhaps citing specific laws / codes?

Per provisions of the Gun Control Act (GCA) of 1968, 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44, an unlicensed individual may make a “firearm” as defined in the GCA for his own personal use, but not for sale or distribution.  No serial number, 4473 paperwork, or NICS check required.     State and local laws may vary.

Buying flat AK receivers and bending them to build an AK-47 is common.   AR and 1911 80% receivers are no different.

They show in-stock, but two problems, they are twice as much as everyone else (I guess this is what you can do when you're the only ones in-stock ) and I don't care for the integrated trigger guard.

Its crazy out there.  I remember when these were sold and marketed abundantly as "paper weights".  But we all knew.
