I know it was the wrong time to buy or build an AR but I have been wanting one for a while now. When I was walking out of the local gun show a couple weeks ago, I ran into one of my old co workers. He loves his firearms and I knew he had a few AR's that he has built. So I asked the ultimate question, do you have one you would like to sell? He didn't want to sell his completed but said he would sell me a lower. I picked up his McKay lower with A2 stock and then found a Rebel Arms upper. The upper is a carbine with a 1:9 twist. It has a m16 BCG and m4 feed ramps. I now have some FDE furniture coming and a AB arms hand guard.   I don't know much about the upper but they are actually built about to hours away from me. Looking at their website I decided I would take the chance. I haven't shot it yet to report how I like it but will update when I do. I have a total of $750 into the complete upper and lower with A2 stock Not too bad considering today's market. I would love to post some pics but un sure on how to upload them.

Well, Finally got to go to the range today. This thing ROCKS. I shot 70 rounds without one issue. shooting 55gr at 25 and 50 yrds I was shotting about an1" MOA. Current set up is a Magpul MOE rifle stock, American Arms Hand gaurds, MOE Grip, Magpul MBUS rear sight, all in FDE. I had a couple guys ask what make it was and when I told them I had less than $1000 into it they were surprised. Especially buying everything since Christmas. I give Rebel Arms 2 thumbs up at this point. Oh and I also scored some 30 and 20 round PMAGS at a local store for less than $20. each.

Congrats! Is it just the pictures or do the rails on the hand guard sit higher than the upper receiver rail?

They do sit higher, research ab arms rail height and you will see why. Honestly it's about the only thing that somewhat bothers me.

Was it 1" or 1 MOA?  At 25 yards, 1 MOA is 1/4"; at 50 yards, it's 1/2".

I haven't 100% zeroed it in. I  was shooting  within a 1" group. Not sure what's that considered. Now I need to start over since I changed over to a new PRO. Can't wait to get to the range again.

I think the rifle stock is unique. I get the look of a modern ar with the function of a rifle buffer system. I do have a MOE as well but I think the rifle will stay on for a while. What do you guys think?

I cant wait to get back to the range. If only it would warm up a little around here. I also bought my son a M&P 15-22 for his B-day, too bad his B-day isnt until May. I dont know if I can wait that long to give it to him though.

Nice job and congrats. Definitely a win on parts in this market. Unique looking carbine you got there and glad it's meeting expectations on the range.

As for the 15-22, sounds like it would be a good Valentine's day present for the kid. No way I could wit until May.
