Looking at a new ar in 5.56 and wondering what everyone thinks about Del-ton Good/Bad.

I just purchased one a little while back. I like mine a lot. Out of the box functional and dependable. Well built. I own a Smith too and honestly I'm starting to like the DTI more.

I've never had an issue with Delton builds.

I built a half dozen a couple years ago, and they are all still running great

I have one, a lightweight 16".  Not a single malfunction, and I hardly ever clean it.  And I run cheap steel cased ammo through it too!  The only minor downside is that I had to adjust the windage on the rear sight several clicks to the right to sight it in, perhaps a slightly canted front sight post?

Anyways, I already placed an order for a new Delton 20" govt profile build kit yesterday!

I've ordered a couple barrels from Delton as well as many parts and they are GTG.

Thanks Everyone, it seems to be unanimous that everyone likes theirs. I guess I am sold, now can someone lend me a grand

I had issues with the only upper I have bought from them. The parts looked good, however the FS was canted. Their CS is great but the back order delivery times were sometimes horrible before this panic.

I have one upper and one complete kit. I haven't had any troubles at all.
Since the bucket is open;
The upper

The kit while I was using a .22lr conversion

Nice build. The Extreme duty 316 I have seems to be built like a tank. I'd buy another on a whim if I could. Mine is now at over 500 rounds without cleaning. Zero issues out of the box, super cheap ammo, reloads, you name it so far it is eating it.

I have over three thousand rounds through a DelTon build; never a problem.

The new ones come with a lifetime warranty and were very reasonably priced before the mass shooting a bit more than week ago.  I'm certainly satisfied with mine!

I have used their uppers to build at least 10 rifles.

ZERO complaints about any of them.

You squeeze trigger, it goes boom.  Accurately.

I personally prefer their Govt profile to the M4 profile.
