Hi All,

Very Happy Holidays to everyone!

I finally landed an AR. I bought a very nice Colt SP1. It came with the bipod, bayonet and a tons of mags and ammo.
It is now on my top 2, no 3, ah 4… list; what can I say they all shoot great.

After a complete disassembly and cleaning, I really understand the basics of the AR world.

I found a good tutorial by AssaultRifler (part 4) on the forum for reloading ammo, but I can’t locate parts 1-3, can anyone shoot me the link to them?

Is there no way to locate a members posts?

Thanks to all.

PS I infected my oldest son with the black rifle want, so another one hits the dust!

I hate you.... My uncle still will not sell me his SP1 that he never shoots and that has sat in his safe for probably at least 10 years if not longer.

Nice stick what you getting next?

Congrats!

Nice SP1, that reminded me of my first ever AR that I bought brand new in 1971 for only $200 back then.

I learned a lot about the AR platform from my first one, I had disassembled everything a lot of times, except of course I did not remove the barrel assembly from the upper receiver.

Let us know how it shoots.

I’m very happy with this rifle.
My son and I put about 150 round through it at 50 yards with iron sights.
Groupings were around 2” or so.
Not bad for an old man who is half blind.
That was shooting in all positions.
we then went to shooting small (3” - 4”) pieces of clay pigeons.
One of us had the M-1 Garand, the other, the AR.
It was a piece of cake in about 2 to 3 rounds, kablaam!
Course the M-1 did about the same.
This a very fun shooter even with the twang.
I am awaiting a repo scope (leapers UT gold http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002MS4WSO/ref=pe_175190_21431760_M3T1_ST1_dp_1) to add a little extra eye sight.

Now can anyone please help with the articles for reloading .223?

Again, how do I look up a members posts?

Everyone have great holidays and take a shot for me.

I’ll do the same for you.

Peace on earth, but I’ll still keep my guns!l

You make me sick No! Just kidding I bought one of  those new for $300.00 when I came home from Basic back in 1976. Now when I see one around here for the prices they are asking, I make me sick for ever getting rid of the one I had. Really that's a great find you have there. Hang on to it!
