Have a midlength from PSA on order, now its time to shop for handguards.
Can be drop in (prefer) or free float. If its free float it has to work with a FSP. No magpul. What do you recommend? I'm new to midlengths and have no idea what would be good. Please attach pics if you have any. |
Centurion Arms C4 Mid Length Cutout
I really like Daniel Defense Omega X and AR15 Lite Rails too. However, the Centurion Arms rails are really starting to become my favorite since getting a C4 FSP Rail. I would say it is equal in quality to my DD Omega X on my V3, with similar dimensions, weight and price. The Centurion rails have the advantage of maintaining the stock barrel nut and being able to be installed without removing and breaking down/reassembling the barrel assembly. The DD Omega (not Omega X) rails would be the easiest install, but I think the Centurion rails are a touch better than the Omega due to the anti-rotation tabs and more robust mount. Can't go wrong with either one. If price is a concern, I'd take a look at Troy's rails. |

What do you recommend? If you want a drop in rail handguard the Daniel Defense Omega has no equal. Be advised that "Omega" and "Omega X" are two completely different products. Other posted options require removal of the front sight base, and/or cutting off the delta ring parts. DD Omega doesn't require any modifications to the original weapon configuration and it can easily be removed and revert back to standard handguards. https://danieldefense.com/rail-systems/omega-rail.html |
