How many rounds would you store in a 20 and 30 round magazine?

And does it weaken the spring to keep that many rounds in there for a period of time?

20 and 30 respectively. It shouldn't hurt the spring, but may (may) damage the feed lips. Pmags with the dust covers on is a solution to that.

I keep all of my mags (AR, AK, HK, etc) loaded to full capacity and I haven't had any problems at all. A lot of my HK and AK mags stay loaded for months at a time.

Dust covers on Pmags are to keep debris out of the mag not prevent damage to the feed lips - Magpul themselves has said so on a few occasions.  Not to say the dust covers don't take pressure off the feed lips, it is not their intent to prevent damage.  Go to the magazine section and learn.

Also, leaving mags fully loaded does not hurt the springs.  A 20rd mag should hold 20, 30rd mag ––> 30, etc and function just fine.

For AR mags? 19 and 29. Probably not needful, but old habits die very hard.

All my mags are PMAGs stored to capacity. The only problem I've had is the dust covers. The little clips on some of them has worn down and won't fully close on a loaded magazine.
