Hello to all. Im new to the site. I recently purchased a new AR 15. It has a 16 inch barrel. I bought a set of MagPul MBUIS flip up sights to put on as its a flattop. I put them on as far apart as I could taking into account the front sight is on the handguard because your advised not to put it on the gas block.  When I measured them for sight radius in the flip open position I was getting around 12" of sight radius. So in an attempt to
get more sight radius distance I took the front sight off and reversed it from its normal reccommended mounting direction and that gave me almost 2 more inches of sight radius making it about 14". My question is this:
Will this be fine without presenting any problems? I assume the front sight blade would be the same height whether its mounted the right way or reversed. And is there any chance this presents a problem in future? thanks for your help.'

You will have to endure a constant stream of people telling you your front sight is on backwards so you should run it in the correct orientation from the start

Should work fine, even if it looks funny.

That's about the only ill effect. I see plenty of people run the rear backwards for one reason or another.

Nothing wrong with mounting Front Sight backwards
