How important is a perfectly centered primer strike? A new build of mine (bcm bcg and bcm upper) is pretty far off center in my opinion. How concerned should I be?

I was worried about this with my .22LR upper, but I figured, as long as it fires.  Probably good advice here, too.

Non-issue. Have seen this on several of my guns, BCM included.

Ahhhh, I would expect a 22 rf to be off-center. Actually, it should be hitting the rim of the cartridge since that's where the primer is. Hence the name 'rimfire'. Off center on a a centerfire? If it goes 'BANG' every time I wouldn't sweat it.

Do you have a different BCG you can try? I do not know the answer to your question, but you should test and see if you get a smaller group with a BCG that hits on center. (And post the results here)

If it is off center it means that the primer will not burn from the center outward. That means one side of the powder charge will be ignited first. By the time the bullet leaves the barrel then it might not matter, but it seems like the smallest things can affect the how well the gun shoots.

Too fast and no glasses! 'LR' not 'RF'. Of course, 'LR' could be 'RimFire'..............

Probably not very concerned. IMO as long as the strike is not on the edge of the primer its fine.

I hope that 22LR comment was a joke….

Is there a tutorial on how to post pics here? I have looked but can't seem to find one.

You have to have a site that will host your pics, then you copy the address to post. I will put it up for you, just email it to me.

That does not look much off center, I think you are good to go.
