Hello I am new to AR's.  Of course this is not a good time to look for a complete AR as everyone is snatching up AR's a quick as they hit the gun store shelf.  I was looking at a S&W M&PT and was wondering your thoughts on that AR for a newbie?  Stock is low right now so not much to choose from.  I am not certain that a AR ban bill we be passed but certainly do not want to me left out if a bill of such is passed.  Thanks for the help.

The S&W is a good AR.
Sig is too.
So is Colt, DD, BCM, PWS, LWRC, the list goes on.
Most are still available.

My LGS has a shit ton of AR's left in stock so idk what you're talking about

Most likely for your purposes the M&P would be a good choice

Colt fanboy here though so you guys know my suggestion...LE6920

2 out of 4 of my Walmarts here in town have them, with the Colt LE6920 being the best choice among what they are stocking. And Dick's has the Troy rifle, among others. They seem to have had a burst of sales, but that is due to both the election and Christmas coming up, but they certainly aren't scarce where I'm at. I bought a Colt last week, and didn't have a terribly hard time finding one.
