This is my first personal AR.  Had shot them in the Army years ago, but had been pretty much a handgun guy until this.  Rather tan buy a complete rifle, I went with building it myself.  It saved me a few bucks and allowed me to be very familiar with the platform and my rifle from the beginning.

I started with an upper & barrel combo from JSE Surplus.  It's a DTI (Del-Ton) upper & charging handle and 16" chrome lined middie.  Added a 12" Midwest Industries Gen 2 SS hand guard and a YHM phantom flash hider.  The BCG is a JSE M16.
I built the lower using a "blem" PSA lower & JSE lpk(mixed parts from Stag & RRA). Then added a knock-off Emod stock with milspec buffer tube assy., Magpul RVG, CAA flip up sights, UTG harris style bi-pod, and a KonusPro scope.

Had it at the range today to get it sighted in.  Didn't have a chance to bore sight it properly so my first couple of shots were WAY OFF.  Didn't take much to have it dialed in, though.  I had test fired it a couple weeks ago at the farm right after finishing the build.  I was having a FTF issue every few rounds, so didn't even try to sight it.  Turns out I had the buffer too light.  Shot over 100 rounds today without one hiccup.

I shot TulAmmo, American Eagle, & Remington 55g.  All were perfectly fed and on target.  Dialed it in at 25 yds, then ran it out to 100 yds.

Looks like it shoots about 1.5 or 2 MOA (if that's 10 shots at 100 yds). I don't see a problem with that. I would call it good.

Looks, cool OP.  Congrats.

Thank you gentlemen.  I appreciate the feedback.  I think it shoots "good" as well.  Had to go back and check; the last group was actually 9 shots.  And with those being 1" squares, its shooting just fine.  Was just a couple clicks north of being spot on.

Here was the setup just as I shot it today.  Moved back the fore grip and installed the bi-pod.  I think I'll be pulling the grip in favor of the Cobra fore grip sometime soon.

Given the short amount of time on the range today, and the very few round through it, I should be able to report even better results on the next trip.

Nice stick, and that is some good shooting as well OP. On that bottom right diamond it looks to shoot less than 1.5moa, which is great. Use some match ammo and it will shrink to 1moa or maybe less even...

You've made the only " rather questionable post".

OP's rifle shoots very good for a chrome barrel shooting standard ammo.  You don't need to spend a ton of money on all the designer brand parts to have a good shooting and reliable AR.

Thanks again guys.  I'm really happy with the setup now.  Totally reliable and looks to me to be a dang fine shooter.  I'll definitely try some match grade next trip out.  I want to stretch it out to 200+ as well.  We have a couple new 275 yard lanes at our range, so I'll put them to good use.

Still not sure what northpark was talking about or who he is.  Bizzare post to say the least.

Your rifle looks good and shoots bullets where you want 'em, huh.

Some people can't say anything good, or speak well of, any rifle that doesn't have all the parts they wish were well installed on their good rifle.

Thanks. :)

The one in the first pics is a KonusPro 3-10x44IR; the other is a Rex Optics 1.25-4.5x26E.  Both have illuminated red dot reticles and are surprisingly clear for the price.  I ended up keeping the Konus on this build and put the Rex on my M&P 15-22.
