Hey all,

I have a BCG that has about 700 rounds on it. I was wondering if there will be head space issues if I put it on a new upper or if it will be good to go. If there are issues, do I just get a new bolt? Thanks in advance.

Get headspace gauges and check.  Better safe than sorry.  Figure headspace guages vs new rifle price.

I'd get a new bolt.  It's not worth it if it isn't okay.  Bolts aren't very pricey, at the very least get a headspace gauge.

i had to make this decision just a few weeks ago. according to people who know more than i do (mostly on here, lol), as long as the round count is low and both uppers are in spec, there shouldn't be any issues. i think the recommendation is to always guage the headspace. 700 rounds is a little higher than what i had on my bolt, and i probably wouldn't have even been tempted to reuse the old bolt if that had been the case...i had about 200 rounds on mine. at the end of the day, a new bcm bolt is $70, and i lasted less than a week before i started losing sleep over it so i just ordered a new bolt. now i can sleep and i have a spare.
