Old RRA? Not certain. So far, Google searches tell me the "P" means it was proof fired. The numeric code eludes me, though. The fluted area is parkerized, but forward of it is not. Maybe that will jog someone's memory. I'd hate to be the one to stump arfcom... |

The "9" would mean 1/9 twist. However, it's missing the letter "N" or "W" for Nato or Wylde chamber, respectively. Your barrel is pretty close to those markings, though. |

Not ours. Wrong markings, let alone the fluting.
Additionally, if part of it is parkerized, it isn't stainless..it would have to be a polished moly (stainless won't take a phosphate-or most other-finish). I have a little knowledge on how barrels have been marked over the years, and I assume that the 9 is for 1:9 twist, the A may be for "alloy" (for chrome moly, whereas an S may have indicated stainless). The 04 may have been year of manufacture....but that is purely conjecture on my part. Steve/RRA. |

The code is a manufacture date code (month/year) |
