I'm able to get in on a group buy for a Timney 667S drop in trigger, can you guys give me some pros and cons on this. Looking to use this for a 3 Gun build on a LRB lower with a Stag 3G upper.
Thanks,
George

I have the skeletonized 3lb 661 trigger that I put in a billet lower and used it with a 6.5 Grendel upper. Great trigger, works awesome and very easy to install. So far I've only used it with the Grendel upper and haven't did much "rapid" firing with it though. Pros: Great trigger, fairly priced, easy to install. Cons: none so far.

I had one and sold it.
Don't like how the trigger is not held in with the pins like a standard trigger.
It has two set screws that dig into the lower and may strip.
Mine came loose twice even though i tightend then up and locktited the second time.
Almost lost a pin at the range and it ened My shooting for the day.
Sold it and bought a SSA and I am happy.
If You use the Timney I would get a set of KNS pins just to hold it together so they don't walk out.

I have 2 skeletonized 3# triggers and never had any kind of problem with either of them. Zero creep/take-up and break clean. Easy to install and hold tight in place. IF you do have any probmems, their CS is great.

i have the timney skeletonized 3# and i love it. zero problems. very reliable and a great crisp break.

i don't know how the set screws came loose on the guys above. i've had no problems since the day i installed it. i didn't use any threadlock either just the set screws on top of the little ones that are pushed down into your receiver.

Timney 4# Skeletonized, didn't locktite the set screws, no problems, perfectly happy with it. For 3 gun, go for it.

That said, if I were going to be running a suppressor on a weapon my life depended on, I'd be more inclined to run the AR Gold due to its secondary sear. Probably unnecessary, but cheap insurance if you're already going to be spending that kind of money.
