I finallly decided, after years of thinking about it, to assemble my first AR.

Bought a stripped lower and am starting research on kits.  I have been led to Del-Ton to look for upper kits, because of their quality and cost.

Well, Del-Ton is basically out of stock on what I'm looking for, with no known availability for the time being.  I've only just begun my research in this area and am overwhelmed by the options and outfits out there.

Would one of you have any ideas, or opinions, where I might find (in stock), for comparable quality and cost, a Rifle Kit for the following?

16", mid-length, lightweight, chrome lining, detachable carry handle?

Thanks,
-ppknut

I would venture that most of the builders here do not use kits, per se, but rather source all the parts individually that they want to use...myself included.
However, if I were to buy a kit, it would be from PSA

Good luck with the build.

I agree with Direct-Drive.
I bought separate parts for my two builds. If I were to buy a complete upper, I'd go PSA also.
