| Do any of you have 1st hand knowledge of their quality? |

Yep, I have used 6 of their lowers. All from Surplus Arms & Ammo. Three are AP roll mark and three are the Grim Reaper. All are in spec and have functioned fine. I have no real complaints but a couple of observations: the finish has been smooth and even with good color but it seems to run on the thin side. It can be easily scratched to bare metal. Also, the mag wells tend to have minimal bevel and run on the tight side. I've had no problems with aluminum mags or current polymer mags such as PMag, Troy, or Lancer but some older polymer like Orlite will not seat.
As I stated, for the price I paid I am satisfied and I call these observations rather than complaints. |

I have used several of these lowers, purchased at a few places. My experiences were similar to the last post, everything was in spec, no complaints. A couple of mine had similar light anodizing, but very acceptable in each case. My magwells were similar, but none of my USGI or pmags have problems (definitely no rattle).
I'd have no problems building on these receivers if needed in the future. I say they are GTG in my builds. |

I have the upper and barrel. Less than a thousand through it.
I dont know if this has anything to do with the upper but. I had issues with the gas block loosening up on me but some lock tite and that is done. I also installed a quad rail on it replacing the MOE that was on it. And I had similar issues. I went back to the MOE and everything is good. Might try a free float in the future. But being carbine length I don't think it s a big deal. If I get into a 20" then I would like the free float front end. Other than that I have less than a 1000 rds through and most were as very expensive single action AR. But as long as I have the MOE on it its fine. |

I just finished my build using a set of Aero receivers, this is my first build but I had no problems at all and they fit together really well.

| I read that interview before I purchased the Aero Lower. I still do not understand why some companys keep it so top secret where they source their parts from. Just a interesting sidenote I took away from that article. There is a guy here locally to me in a small town of about 300 people that has started making lowers. I was tempted to buy one but they are a little pricey compared to others. |
