Anyone else had any dealing with Loki?
http://lokiweaponsystems.com/ Called in my order for a duracoted complete upper about 13 weeks ago, paid up front, still waiting. Eric was very courteous and helpful the two times I spoke with him over the phone and answered my emails promptly before I placed my order. However the web site says 8-10 weeks for delivery. How long did you wait for yours? If I don't hear from them by tomorrow I'll be giving them another call. I just hate to bug them too much, but the wait is killing me.
Update: Just heard from Erik this week. He said 15" rails should be in by the end of next week, hopefully duracoated over the weekend and then assembled sometime early the next week. So hopefully I'll have my upper in threeish weeks. |
| I've got one of their 18" stainless fluted barrels on order and have been waiting close to 3 months. I called about a month ago and was told that they had barrels but were at a standstill because they couldn't get barrel extensions. I called last week and was told that they've got extensions now and are filling backorders as quickly as they can. I feel confident that they'll get me my barrel soon. Each time I've spoken with them they've seemed very forthcoming and didn't evade any questions. I think the shortages for gun parts is affecting everyone. I'm really looking forward to egetting the barrel (and one of their carbon fiber handguards) to finish another rifle for 3 gun. Satern makes their barrels and they get good reviews. |

I bought my first ever personally owned AR and it is a Loki and I love it. I got it through a third party though, Tomahawk Weapon Systems. Customer service has been top notch from Tomahawk and Loki both. Eric is the one I dealt with at Loki as well and can't say enough good things about them.

I have a similar setup on my current AR and plan to use it on my next one, you're not going to have any problems with it melting unless you mount it directly to a railed gas block. That typically wouldn't work anyway, since most railed gas blocks are lower than the flat top rail on your upper receiver, resulting in a gun that is going to shoot waaaaay high. I love the MBUS for the price and function. They've worked great for me so far and they are very popular. |

I picked up one of their 18" SS fluted barrels a while back. It was in stock, and shipped right out. I love it! http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w307/razzman1/IMG_1355.jpg Nice, I ordered the 20" SS fluted. That looks great! |

I've put together a couple of 20" fluted LOKI's and they are very accurate. You will love the barrel! Well that's good news! I'm building it as a ~600yd varmint rifle since my 16" RRA isn't really an MOA shooter. Can't wait to stretch them out side by side and see if it was worth it! |

That upper and lower look proprietary. I mean, you can't slap a standard upper on that lower and vice versa, correct? |
| Ordered the 3g rifle in may with an estimated 8 week lead time. Called in early July and they said early august. Emailed 2 days ago and they said "a few weeks we hope". Damn election years. I feel bad for the guys at Loki who I'm sure get calls daily asking where products are... seems worth the wait though. |

My understanding is that the billet uppers and lowers are proprietatry but the forged are standard spec and interchangeable. |
