Went out to the local gun store yesterday looking for a drop-in 22 conversion for my AR. None of the local stores had any, as usual. While there, me and the GF started looking at new rifles. She has been talking about getting one, but has only gone shooting with me twice over 6 years. We've looked before but never really decided on something.

Well, that's not the case anymore. We started looking at Rock River Arms Operators, and she loved it. Needless to say, 30 min and $1300 later, she walked out with not only her first AR, but first rifle purchase ever.

Man, this rifle is really nice. Unfortunately hers is now way nicer than mine, looks like its time for me to get a new one as well

Nice Rifle now it's time for her to go shoot more often, and become proficient! Then it"s time for you to watch out!

Now she can help you when the ZOMBIES come knocking!

Funny you mention Zombies. We had gone shooting earlier this week, her second time and what really pushed her towards wanting an AR. This target was about 30 yards out and after explaining to her how to aim using lower mil-dot on scope, this is what she pulled off. 5 shots, 5 dead zombies

Target was 9" X 9 1/2"

Great Choice. I got a RRA Elite Operator 2. I was going to buy parts and piece my rifle together but the RRA package deals are hard to beat. My dealer also let me trade in my iron sight for a low profile flip up rear sight.

+1 on this; without a photo, GF don't exist and GF just an excuse to get the rifle. You know the rules...
