So I'm finally ready to purchase an AR15. I'm going to go with a BCM upper but I'm having a hard time deciding on a lower. I would like to get a BCM but they are like $380 with a cheap stock, which just seems like a rip off to me. CMMG has a lower without the stock assembly for $180 but I'm having trouble contacting anyone about the availability. I really don't want to wait for 3 months for the lower. I also see that PSA has a nice lower with MOE stock included for $300. What do you think about matching a PSA lower with the BCM mid upper? Is this blasphemy?

One more question...
Does this MOE stock allow for attaching a sling?

Thanks for your help.

Any lower will do.  It's a machined piece of aluminum that holds the magazine, the trigger & hammer bits, & the buffer/stock.

The Magpul CTR has a QD socket and friction lock, the MOE does not.

99% of the receivers on the market today are good to go. I had the misfortune of buying a Roggio Arsenal lower that was very out of spec. The quality of the parts kit you put in it is more important than the receiver itself IMO

Save money and get the BCM "blem" complete lower.

It's always that 1% that'll bite you in the ass.......lol  I have no problems with my BM pre-ban lower.

Most are GTG regardless of price.

I'm a sucker for curves though, so I just had to drop the cash on a Seekins lower for my current 300 Blackout build I'm putting together.

I'm going to cerakote it in burnt bronze.

The CMMG you mentioned is a bit high in price. Also they have tight mag wells and poor flaring in my opinion. But that doesn't mean I dont use mine, it does have a nice finish (if that happens to matter to you). Look at the rainier arms lowers along with some of the others people have recommended. I think the rainier is the nicest lower I own and you definitely cant complain about the price!

Work of art indeed.

I purchased a matching Seekins upper and rail as well for my build. Just waiting to find/purchase the Noveske barrel and DD LPK I want for it, and then it will be my ideal 300 Blackout.

Well I ended up going with the stripped PSA lower and a PSA lower parts kit so that I can learn the internals of the gun better. I added a magpul grip and trigger guard. Thanks for all the help.

Did you get the "Bullet picto" lower or the "fire/safe" lower?  I have never had an issue with any of the PSA lowers I have used.  I like the bevel on the fire/safe lowers a little more than the picto ones.

I got the bullet picto. Now I can't wait for the BCM upper and bolt carrier group to arrive! I feel like it's Christmas...sorry it's my first AR.

I just go for whoever has the nicest roll mark that's why I went with a MEGA. Good luck on the build, take it slow and just know the hardest part about putting together a stripped lower is NOT SCRATCHING THE FINISH!!! mask everything. . . . .
