What is a "low pro gas block detent pin?"

Are you looking for a gas tube roll pin?

A set-screw?

There are no detents at the gas block.

If you're talking about the Gas Tube Roll Pin you could take a piece of coathanger, chuck it up in a drill and "turn" it to the correct diameter.
"Turn" = let it ride against a file or emery cloth....
Be precise about the diameter or it won't drive.
You would want to leave it slightly long each side so you could peen it slightly so it doesn't fall out.

If you have something stiffer like welding rod, better yet.

A lot of monkeying though. Finding the correct roll pin...... much easier

If you can wait a couple of days, Citizen's Armory will send you a roll pin.
They won't stroke you on shipping.

I'm new so please no flaming but couldn't you use loctite in a pinch?

NO!!! NO LOCTITE!!!!!.use a paper clip, leave it long, and bend over the ends, easy to remove and replace when you get the correct pin....<><...:)

Loctite would not work. The temperatures from the gas tube and gas block would very quickly loosen it.

Not only that, but you would have to live with the shame of having put Loctite on an AR.

What's wrong with using loctite on an AR? It's very useful in some areas like screws to mount optics to mounts, really any rail mounted accessory that uses a screw. Pistol grips. All viable places for loctite on an AR...

While that isnt the correct place for loctite.

The guys with optics ,buis etc falling off always seem more shamed than those who dont.

I'm talking about the "weapon proper"
Go ahead and use it on proprietary parts that call for it.

Just don't say it too loud around here or the n00bs will be putting it everywhere.

You could also check at local hardware stores or gun shops

^ Check local hardware stores for a roll pin of the same size.

(Personally, I would just order 2, just in case you bend one, from thecitizensarmory.com
