Whats up fellow target shooting 2nd amendment loving gun crazy AR dot commers? I got a question for ya'll... Several Years ago a friend of mine shot 3 gun matches and I believe was sponsored by Eagle Arms, which was subsequently purchased by Armalite. One of the coolest things was that his serial numbers on the lower receiver read his name.... for example ––- John Smith I or John Smith II. It was the coolest thing I had ever seen. I want to build my brother and nephews all custom AR's. I would like to do something similar for all of us so our serial numbers are our names. Does any one know of a manufacturer who is willing to do that? It would also have to be a off ban list manufacturer so I can have these rifles in California. Any suggestions? Any experience? Anyone want to list me as their beneficiary on their life insurance policies? Thanks for your comments. |

JD Machine Tech supposedly does it. Someone mentioned them in another post in build it yourself.

You could do something like his initials followed by his start and end year in the industry. So for instance, if his name was John smith and he worked in the industry from 1960-2012 the serial number could be JS19602012. |
