I know where I can pickup a new unfired Wilson Combat AR-15 in .223 for $2500 with a Wilson Combat one piece scope mount and 1" tube new Swarovski 4-12x50mm 1" tube scope.

Is this a steal?? It's a UTC model with fluted barrel

I'm not sure. The German glass is a good bit of $$$$$$$$. Does it have there after market drop in trigger?

I may try one of Wilson Combats 204 barrels in the very near future. I've read a few good reviews on there barrels on other sites.

That scope alone is probably in the $1200 range. Is the rifle chambered .223 as you stated or is it 5.56? That makes a difference in the ammo you can use. I'd think you could buy a nicer rifle, LaRue, Noveske for the remaining $ and mount a more sensible optic for a lot less. I just see no need for a top of the line glass on an AR. There are choices that will do all you need for hundreds of dollars less. Just my .02

I am not up on glass price but if the scope can be found for $1200 around as said then no.

+1 to a Larue and a more sensible optic.

Ok fellas glad I asked, probably a good deal but more desirable guns out there for the money.
