New old stock? didn't the company go down in a hail of federal indictments? I dunno.... Were they a UK company? Or were they USA? All I can find is a UK Site... Sabre Sabre manufactures most of the major components of their rifle at their 2,297 square-foot factory in Northolt, Middlesex |

They were a US defense contractor, making machine gun barrels before going into civi market.. IIRC???? Interesting stuff on the Wiki Sabre Wiki So is CHeaper than Dirt selling the UK rifle that was imported then? Or are they Manroy M4 Carbines with the Sabere Defense Roll mark? Manroy |

prior to their legal troubles they had a good reputation for quality - which led me to pick up one of their stripped lowers for an SBR build, which in turned proved to be a huge mistake
the lower turned out to be out of spec and dealing with their customer service was a disaster...I was never provided updates and at one point couldn't get in touch with the guy who was heading up the process. It took an ignorant amount of time to get a replacement only after I went over someones head to get some answers. Regardless of whether they are currently ran and owned by quality people I see no reason with all the other quality vendors out there to jump on a $999 Sabre carbine. It's also worth noting that I was never reimbursed for the shipping despite it being their fault, nor was I ever compensated outside of a "sorry" for the over a month long process I had to endure. |
