I don't have one, but my brother loves his. The ability to lock-back and release the bolt without removing the firing hand seems great. Cons? Any of my concerns have been laid to rest by testimony from those who run them.

Search feature on the site doesn't work for me. Couldn't find any recent threads with info either.

It does seem like a useful addition. Might just have to pick one up to test it out. I can always sell it if I don't like it I suppose.

i dont see a reason for them, they seem sketchy and a bit dangerous. the only thing magpul has made that will never go on my rifle.

It's one of those love it or hate it parts.
Google "magpul bad lever problems" and you'll get a bunch of hits.

Yes and yes.  Could encounter issues with a slightly out of spec lower, or out of spec bolt catch.

Other than that (that I know of) I love em.  Makes running the gun (is that too tacticool a phrase?) soooooo more convenient, fast, efficient, and easy/fast.

For me, the BAD lever is great!! As long as you install it correctly, due to it has some play in it before you tighten it down. You want it as far away as it can allowing be from the curve of the trigger well. That way it will allow maximum leverage Of the bolt catch when locking the bolt to the rear. Its an awesome addition for me at least. I do alot of training and I run my rifles hard. I've never had any issues with a BAD lever. I'll warn you that it gets you spoiled though. Reloads are sooo much faster. I have a BAD lever on all 4 of my rifles. Just get one and try it out. Everyone is different. See if it works for you.

Ran one for a few months, for quick mag changes the B.A.D. works very good.  For my shooting style it just wasn't something I needed.  Ended up selling it to my buddy who's a lefty, he likes it and it really sped up his mag changes.

I've read that in some cases your bolt runs too fast for it to catch on the bolt stop with the extra weight of the BAD lever slowing the stop down. In one case it was fixed by adding a heavier recoil spring to slow the bolt carrier travel down.

I LOVE mine. I have had the bolt not lock back a few times, so I am going to be installing a heavier buffer
to slow it down a bit and hopefully take care of that because my BAD lever is staying put!

Yeah I read that. I put an LMT H buffer in....still randomly doesn't lock back. Thinking about going heavier...? By the way its 16inch carbine gas.

Eta. I have an idea as to why, but I need to experiment lol

I have it on my DDM4 and absolutely love it. It will be an addition to all my future AR's to come. Already ordered one for my .300BLK! Never had any problems with the bolt not locking or anything else. Mag change time is much quicker.
