I finally finished my Moto/KISS Build (for the most part):
Lower is a highly personalized Territorial Gunsmiths lower
LPK is FN
Stock is a CavArms C1
Pistol Grip is Cav Arms
BCM 16" Standard Middy Upper
BCM BCG
BCM/VLTOR Gunfighter Mod 5 CH
DD A1.5 BUIS
Cav Arms C8 handguards
All furniture is Cav Arms' Dark Earth

I had debated replacing the upper receiver with an A1/C7 with an A2 aperature.
I opted to stay with BCM's flat-top and a DD A1.5, to have a little flexibility if I decide on going beyond KISS in the future.
Lower receiver is coated in DuraCoat, in their WWII OD Green.
I kinda want to have the upper receiver sprayed to match.
Part of me just wants to leave it and be happy (and just shoot the thing)

I love fixed stock middies. I have 2:

That second one, I put a YHM folding sight block on. No picture since then.

These are both Spike's middy uppers, Double Star lowers.

Pure awesome on all these.

I should have mine built within the next couple of weeks, hoping I'm handed my commission check tomorrow so I can order the upper and LPK

Great thread, thanks for the pics! Just ordered an A2 stock for my Spike's middy, nice to know i'm not the only one who prefers a fixed stock!

My completed K.I.S.S. middy, Spike's Tactical 16" middy upper, Punisher lower w/Spike's standard parts kit, A2 stock, MFT ergo grip, and YHM rear BUIS. Love me some A2 stock action, great fer bashing in zombie heads when you run out of ammo.

This thread has offically changed my mind to a 16" middy from a 20" rifle for my upcoming build.  For those of you running A2 stocks, do you prefer the balance of a standard barrel, or a lightweight?

I'd suggest an A1 stock.

I second that.  The rifle buffer makes the middy one smooth shooter.  I even found a A1 stock with a rubberized buttplate.  David

This is a RRA LAR-6 A4 Mid-Length. I bought it with the collapsible stock, didn't like it much. It wiggled and was distracting trying to get the "right" length fit. Bought a fixed stock and put it on and couldn't be happier.

Went from this:

With Glock 17 for scale.

I know looks are not supposed to count, and function is the only criteria...but that carbine just looks so very right, so beautiful in its proportions.

The mid-length combined w/ the Rifle spring and buffer feels shooting a M1 carbine.  No recoil at all.  IMHO
Here is mine, BCM 16" Mid-Length.

I have since gon eto this, Vltor A5 (Rifle tube, spring and buffer combined with a sliding stock) Best of both worlds.
(Shown w/ MBUS now a Troy)

Just finished this one.  DPMS mini sass with Apex hand guard.

Struggled on deciding if I wanted flat top or A2 upper.

Midway had a dealer special on the mini sass, $200.

Only 60 rounds fired so far, runs great, very little recoil, just a bit nose heavy.  The Levang comp works great, could almost shoot without hearing protection.
