Alright, I have read and read about barrel twist and what grain bullets go with what and whats the best in what twist, but i have yet to see an actual chart or diagram that shows stats on this topic? It is probably right in front of me and I just have not seen it yet, but do any of you know where one would be?

Also. I have been fighting with a friend over what grain bullets will work in 1:7 twist. He insist that 62 grain is what the barrel "calls" for, and that a 55 grain bullet is useless with this twist rate. I am not so sure. Any of you have some knowledge I can throw his way about this? Or is he spot on?

Thanks.

For twist rate 1/7 or 1/9 are good, 1/9 can stabilize lightweight bullets from 40 to 69grs(Ideal range) but can go up to 77. But that is pushing it IMHO.

1/7 can cover everything up 80+ grs. However, the heavier grs bullets needed to feed one at a time because of the bullet lenght is longer than regular rounds.

1/6.5 this I have not seen or shoot a rifle with that barrel twist: 100grs.

Btw, go to the Ammo section and read the FAQ and the ammo oracle article.
