Is looking into rails for my first build. (16in middy) And can't really make up my mind if I want to keep the front sight or get rid of it. If I keep it I'll probably just go with a DD Omega 9in. If i get rid of it I will probably go with a Rainer Arms Evolution 11in. So is there any rails I am overlooking? Any pros and cons of keeping the front sight? And I do want a free float. So go with the Rainer ? DD? Are there any major weight differences? Also will the 11in cover a lo pro gas block completely? And also if anyone has any pics they would like to share I would greatly appreciate it.

Keep your front site and buy a 9 inch off the ee. Get used to using irons quickly and effectively. On your second rifle, which will come, get all the cool guy stuff. On your third rifle, having a better idea of what you want/need, you will find peace until the precision bug bites you. On your fourth rifle.... edit here's a picture of my first rifle. I still use it quite a bit.  |
