Ok here is a question I have a wilson 20" barrel I wanted it black but wife forgot. What is best way to get it done. What is most durable finish if I can do myself? If automotive is a choice I have acces to a shop to do it. Just throwing it out there. I want it done right. If I have to send back I will but prefer not to shipping cost more than the process.

Any of the gun specific coatings work well. We use KG Gunkote, but there are several others (Duracoat, Cerakote, etc). They hold up very well, and look really good.
If the wife doesn't mind you baking your barrel in the oven, you can do it yourself. We KG a barrel for $40 (plus actual shipping), and i am sure you can find others as well.
