I know virtually nothing about this kind of gun but this one looks interesting. Anyone care to comment about how appropriate this would be for a novice who just wants to do less than serious target shooting at about 50 yards? |

98% inappropriate. That's how appropriate.
No need to shoot .30 cal unless pushing 5-700yds. The recoil and price per trigger pull are both completely unnecessary. this would be much more appropriate. spend the extra $800 on ammo, mags, optics, sling, cleaning supplies, and dinner with the wife |
