Thanks guys for all the good comments, I wanted my first ar build to be top notch. ( The ACOG cost me exactly 1398.00 from opticsplanet.)

That is a fine looking boom stick.  I can't fault with any of the components or the assembled package.  Get out there and shoot that thing!

The rifle has 200 rounds threw it and functioned flawlessly, great trigger and due to the Surefire Muzzle break no recoil what so ever.

It's ok but you could've done better. Send it to me so you will be motivated to build another.

ETA: Send me that ACOG cause it's really useless!!..and welcome to ARFCOM!!!

That's a sweet looking stick.  Being new to the AR platform and honestly, firearms in general, I'm wondering about the choice you made on the brake.  Was there a technical reason?  This isn't a question of quality or intended to be insulting - I'm just curious and looking to learn.

The only reason I went with this muzzle break is because  I shot a Ar-15 with it, and the rifle had little to no recoil and was very easy to stay on target.

Well since both of you are new I will tell you the next thing you need to do is find a quick draw holster that fits your wallet. You have been bitten by the bug.
