IBTL That's one of the most common ones in AR discussions these days. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile ok, so one thing you need to learn on arf.com, group discussion is ruining this place................ there that said, these guys use tons of acronyms, i think i may kinda stem from a .mil background........and that being said, there is your first one .mil.. military mil spec.. military specifications (lots of crap plastic manufacturers in the world will say their stuff is mil spec, very few pieces really are) carbine, middy and rifle length gas systems refer to the location of the gas port on the barrel gas port will be a hole drilled into the barrel that your gas block goes on gas blocks have different set ups, there are "integrated gas blocks" where the gas block and the front sight are all the same piece, then there are also low profile, these are designed to fit underneath a rail rail, this usually refers to the picattiny rail, also know as a 1913 rail irons, refers to iron sights, or any version thereof optics, well .....lol pretty much self explanatory feel free to shoot me any questions and welcome to the forum |
