I'm thinking of getting a PSA 16'' CMV midlength upper, and just wondered if anyone has had any trouble with them, especially with running steel cased .223 through them. I have a 16'' S&W carbine upper and steel .223 works perfect through it since it's underpowered and the upper is a carbine length 16". Also if you could comment on the quality of your PSA upper that would be helpful too.
I just wanted to make sure everything would be okay since I will mostly run steel through it but wanted a midlength. Thanks |

I have ran steel Tula ammo thru my PSA 16" Carbine upper with 0 issues..
I have ran steel Tula ammo thru my BCM 14.5" Midlength (with Carbine buffer) with 0 firing isssue... (on occasion it will not feed the 1st round on a fresh mag when switching mags).. it seems like the Tula ammo may not QUITE get the BCG back consistantly all the time..) I had this happed 4 out of 6 mag changes.. I would think by this info.. that a 16" Midlength should do OK with steel ammo..(stick to the newer WPA and not Tula though) down in the Ammo section you will find LOTS of info on the steel ammo and how it works.. if you dig abit.. |
