I am thinking about buying a 14.5" mid length light weight Spike's Tactical upper. I am looking at getting it with a low profile gas block and I have the option of getting the Spike's 12" BAR Rail. My question is... Is there anyone who has that rail and can give me some feedback on it? I was also looking at getting the Daniel Defense 12.0 Omega rail. I already have a rifle with a DD rail so I know about those, but I have never seen a Spike's rail. So if anyone has any input on quality, how it feels, weight... etc compared to the DD rail it would be appreciated. Or if you have any other rail suggestions, let me know.
I have never handled or shot a Spike's rifle, but I have only heard good things about them. Thanks in advance for any input. |
| Haven't owned or handled a BAR rail myself. But I have heard that the BAR rail is too big around and uncomfortable for some peoples hands, and that it was designed to cover the rear portion of a suppressor. Spikes SAR rail might be a better option as it is slimmer. IMO. |
