| In an attempt to save money and make as few/ no mistakes as possible; I am looking for someone in the Phoenix area who has a vice, upper receiver vice block, and better knowledge than I to mentor me in building my first AR. I will post a parts list based on responses and please note that this will be a simple build using a 20" barrel and gas impingement. |

I would love to help, but just left for Afghanistan last week. Try the hometown (Arizona) forum here on AR15.com or maybe www.arizonashooting.com. I'm sure someone will help you out.
If all else fails, purchase the tools and try to build it yourself. Half the fun of owning a AR is building/rebuilding them.............kind of like lego's for me. There's a great set of assembly instructions on this website and there's only a few areas to really be careful (roll pin installs, bolt catch install, and gas tube install). Once you build the first one............you'll be asking yourself "was that all there was to it". However, if you do get into trouble, American Spirit Arms in Scottsdale has every part in stock and can finish the build for you. Good luck and take care. Quoted:
