The 18" with the rifle length gas.   I've built two with that combo and the recoil is just so surprisingly smooth.  Really has to be experienced....

I agree. I have an 18" CMMG carbine/rifle with the rifle length gas system that shoots great.

I'd get a 24" stainless HBAR...... JK

I'll echo what is being said and suggest a 16", or 18" if you prefer a longer length. I think you'll find more versatility at 16" over a 20", without losing a ton of velocity.

what is the muzzle velocity of say m193 out of a 16, 18 and 20 inch barrel. just curious.
