How much could I have a stainless barrel turned down before losing accuracy? I know it will heat up faster with the thinner profile but this will mainly be used as a slow bench shooter anyways so that doesn't matter too much to me.
I also have an SPR for longer ranges and better accuracy. Really just looking for something lighter weight that will offer more accuracy than a standard chrome-lined barrel. Thanks... |

I have a SS 16" that is 1-8tw wylde chambered, it is cut to m4 profile with a knights ff quad rail. The rifle shoots 3/4" groups with decent ammo.
had one in the past basic same set up but was carbine gov. light weight that rendered the same basic results(I regret the sale). |

Good to hear that you didn't see any negative effects on accuracy with the different profiles. I was actually thinking about going with the true LW profile (.625) if it would all end up the same. Mine is also a 16" w/ a 1/8 twist. |
