lube the shit out of it? check gas rings?.gas key? gas block?gas tube....................................ect

you have to know how to do more leg work! theres all kinds of sticky's here on trouble shooting this platform!

here's 3 uppers  like yours!

they do very well with my handloads. though there more slo-fire. dumped the crappy DPMS handgurds foe ebay chi-com cheapo's!

great beater upper back when they were $320.00  many Ohio chuck and yote fell to them!

check the gas block.. you may need a REALLY small allen key..

my 556 DPMS were coming loose after about 400..

I used red loctite after I did a followup function check on it..

loosen 1 screw and loctite then do the other..

you should have no issues with the MagPul.. the GI's maybe..

It ain't the mags, they didn't change.  Carbon/ lack of lube or something came loose.

Also check the gas keys on top of the bolt carrier. If they are not staked they can back out and cause this problem.
I had a DPMS quite a few years back and it was doing the same thing as yours. But check and make sure this is not the problem.

Gas key screws should not be reused.  They are for one time only use.
GI mags. don't have an ongoing history of continued updates
